July 2024: Working with The VAM Team

The Kitchen

We were in the kitchen, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of late May preparations. Freshly picked rhubarb was stewing gently on the stove, filling the air with its tart aroma. Punnets of British strawberries were being cleaned, cut, and reduced to delicious purees. Rhubarb pulp is pressed into sweet leather, whilst Rosemary, Dill and Thyme are harvested to create bitters and infusions. Amidst this flurry of activity, the notification pinged. It was AP (Alison Price) and the VAM (Victoria & Albert Events) team, inviting us to partner for an unbelievably exciting project at the V&A.

Behind the Bar

We were thrilled when Alison Price and the VAM (Victoria & Albert Events team) reached out to us with an extraordinary opportunity. Collaborating with such prestigious suppliers is always incredible, and the chance to showcase our artistry at the V&A was nothing short of a dream come true. The theme for the event was 90’s nostalgia, celebrating the iconic Naomi Campbell Exhibition. We were tasked with creating three unique cocktails that encapsulated the essence of the V&A's three remarkable venues; The V&A South Ken, The Young V&A, and the newest of the Victoria and Albert Family, The V&A East.

We are incredibly excited to delve into how and why we designed these cocktails in later posts. Each drink was a canvas for our creativity, allowing us to showcase not just our technical prowess, but also our passion for visual storytelling. Each cocktail was meticulously crafted, combining vibrant themes, intricate garnishes, bespoke packaging design, and dynamic flavour profiles to create a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. This project was a chance to blend our love for design, mixology, and, most importantly, our desire to bring fun and excitement to every event.

The evening was a resounding success, with 400 of the V&A’s corporate clients, planners, and partners mingling and savouring our creations. Each cocktail told a story, blending the V&A’s rich heritage with our own flair for innovation. It was an unforgettable night that showcased not only our vision, but also our passion for creating memorable experiences.
